TACLOBAN CITY | Riding on the momentum of the previous year, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 8 Eastern Visayas Local Governance Regional Resource Center (EV LGRRC) convened its LGRRC meeting for the year on January 24, 2024, via blended modality.

 

 

 

The main focus of the meeting was the presentation of the work and financial plans for each facility and sub-LGRCs. These plans delineated the strategic initiatives, programs, and innovations slated for implementation throughout the year.

In his message, the DILG 8 Regional Director and EV LGRRC Adviser praised the EV LGRRC’s efforts and underscored the significance of Knowledge Management in fostering a culture of sharing and learning.

Likewise, Atty. Darwin N. Bibar, DILG 8 Assistant Regional Director and EV LGRRC Manager, emphasized the imperative to build upon the achievements and innovations of the previous year. He urged the participants to aspire for continuous improvement, foster more innovations, and sustain best practices as the EV LGRRC continues to champion the promotion of peace and resilience in the region.

The meeting also served as a platform to explore ways to enhance the innovations introduced in the prior year, with a specific focus on strengthening knowledge management through the development of better knowledge products.

Moreover, the meeting was attended by the EV LGRRC core team and members, as well as alternates from the sub-LGRCs. The gathering fostered collaborative discussions aimed at aligning efforts and resources toward the shared vision of a more resilient and peaceful Eastern Visayas.
