The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office 8 released the second tranche of the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) total project cost in the amount of Thirty Thousand Pesos (Php 30,000.00) to Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) during the Desk Review of Citizen Satisfaction (CS) and Project Implementation (PI) Reports for the City of Tacloban held today, October 11, 2023, at the LGRRC Training Center, DILG RO 8, Tacloban City.

According to the CSIS Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between DILG 8 and EVSU, the second tranche was made available upon submission of the initial draft of the CS and PI reports. These reports were initially presented during the virtual preparatory meeting on October 6, 2023.

DILG 8 Regional Director, Arnel M. Agabe, emphasized the significance of the CSIS activity, especially coinciding with the ongoing Local Government Code (LGC) Anniversary Celebration. He also mentioned the potential for CSIS fieldwork to be conducted by the relevant Local Government Units (LGUs) in the upcoming CSIS implementation.

Representatives from EVSU, led by Project Manager Dr. Jovito Madeja, were present to receive the funding, with DILG Region 8’s LGMED Chief, Assistant Division Chief, and CSIS Regional Focal Person in attendance.
