In preparation for the 2023 DAGYAW Open Government Townhall Meeting, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office 08, through the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD), held the 1st Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) Meeting on May 15, 2023 at Hotel Alejandro, Tacloban City and via zoom platform.

Karl Andrew V. Senio of the Support to Local Governance Program (SLGP) Project Management Office (PMO) discussed in said meeting the DAGYAW 2023 Field Implementation Guide. Meanwhile, Development Management Officer (DMO) IV Jervis Neil V. Dela Cruz presented the Selection Process and facilitated the Action Planning.

With this year’s theme “Building a Better Government – Citizen Engagement; Quality Public Participation and Dialogue”, DAGYAW is now on its 5th cycle since 2019.

Joining DILG in the RTWG Meeting were representatives from the Department of Budget and Management, Philippine Information Agency and Civil Society Organizations.

The RTWG which is set to meet again on May 31, 2023, shall be responsible for the overall management, implementation and evaluation of the 2023 DAGYAW.
