The meeting started with DILG 8 Regional Director, Arnel M. Agabe, acknowledging the presence of RPOC member-agencies and Local Government Units (LGU) heads as peace partners.
The council approved Resolution 1 series of 2023 entitled “A Resolution Re-organizing the RPOC-EV”, and discussed updates on peace and order programs, which included presentations from member agencies highlighting their respective areas of concerns, assessments, and plans for CY 2023. The discussion aimed to ensure that the council would give proper regard to these issues and concerns.
The Council likewise agreed to form six (6) Special Action Committees to address specific concerns, namely: Public Safety, Disaster Preparedness, Anti-Insurgency, Anti-Criminality, POC Performance Audits, and Production of the RPOC-EV Accomplishment Report.
Further, Mayor Romualdez expressed his gratitude to the member-agencies for taking up the full agenda with commitment.
He also looked forward to countering the insurgency to achieve a just and lasting peace in the region.
