PALO, LEYTE – Determined to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of Regional and Sub-Regional Office Personnel in the name of public service, and to celebrate the milestones achieved by the Department, DILG Region 08 held the second Annual DAYAW Awards on December 29, 2022 at the Oriental Hotel, Palo, Leyte.
This award system is in line with the Revised Policies on Employees’ Suggestions and Incentives Awards System, designed to encourage creativity, innovativeness, efficiency, integrity, and productivity in public service.
DAYAW recognizes and rewards officials and employees, individually or in groups for their suggestions, inventions, superior accomplishments and other personnel efforts which contribute to the efficiency, economy, or other improvements in government operations, or for other extraordinary acts or services in the public interest.
In said Awards, Audio-Visual Presentations on the 2022 On-site Validation and the annual accomplishment reports of Regional and Sub-Regional Offices were shown.
Other highlights included the awarding of the Best Performing Regional Office Focal Person, Best Performing Sub-Regional Office Focal Person, Best Performing Regional Office Administrative Personnel, Best Performing Sub-Regional Office Administrative Personnel, Best Performing Regional Office Non-LGOO Personnel, Best Performing Sub-Regional Office Non-LGOO Personnel, Best Sub-Regional LGRC, Best Performing Municipal Office and Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), Best Performing Component City (CC) Office and City Local Government Operations Officer (CLGOO), Best Performing Highly Urbanized City (HUC) Technical and Administrative Support and Program Manager, Best Performing Provincial Technical and Administrative Support and Program Manager, Best Performing Cluster and Cluster Heads, Best Performing Independent Component City (ICC) Office and CLGOO, Best Performing Highly Urbanized City (HUC) Office and City Director, Best Performing Provincial Office and Provincial Directors, and the Recognition of the 2022 PRAISE Committee, DAYAW Technical Working Group, Regional Evaluation Committee and Sub-Regional Evaluation Committee.
This activity was joined by DILG Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe, Assistant Regional Director Atty. Darwin N. Bibar, Provincial Directors, Cluster Heads, Program Managers, as well as other DILG 08 personnel.
