PALO, LEYTE – The DILG RO 08 leads the Field-Testing of Policy Monitoring Tools for the Proposed Revisions to DILG Memorandum Circular 2018-122 at the Palo Municipal Hall on October 26, 2022.

The activity aims to gather first-hand information on the tools’ potential limitations and applicability as input to policy design and to determine possible improvements in the policy itself, the tools, and the manner of operationalization, ensuring that the updated policy is relevant and responsive to LGUs’ needs.

Activity highlights include the discussion on the salient features of MC 2018-122 and 2022 Draft Policy entitled, “Guidelines for LGUs on Strengthening Rights-Based Local Evacuation Systems”, which covers Policy Monitoring Tools, Focused-Group Discussion on LGUs Local Evacuation Practices and Management, Presentation of Policy Monitoring Tools, and the Simulation and Administration of the Policy Monitoring Tools.

The said event was participated by the DILG Regional Office, DILG Leyte Provincial Operations Office, Local Government Unit of Palo, and officials of Barangay Guindapunan. (PDMU | G. Canillas)
