VILLAREAL, SAMAR – The Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office 08 leads the site inspection of the Rehabilitation / Improvement of Dolores – Villareal Road (Phase II) on June 10, 2022 at Villareal, Samar. This focused on the monitoring of the project through the Quality Assurance Assessment Report in order to validate and ensure the compliance of its technical requirements. As of today, June 10, 2022, the current road completion is at 33%.
 
The completion of the project will lead to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals such as economic growth, health and well-being, and access to quality education. The project will aid the beneficiaries towards a safer and more efficient transportation of goods which in turn will propel efficiency in their work. Aside from that, pregnant women will have easier access to the Rural Health Unit which will decrease the likelihood of risky child birth on the road. The education sector is also another beneficiary of the project because teachers and students will have a more convenient way to reach the local school.
The inspection was led by PD Judy L. Batulan of DILG Samar Provincial Office, together with Engr. Haydee Guarino, Engineer II of the DILG RO 08, Engr. Nomer Yangzon, Engineer III of the DILG Samar Provincial Office, Engr. Evans Garcia, Engineer II of the Provincial Local Government Unit of Samar, and Ar. Roberto Dacutanan, Site Architect of the QCC Construction Supply.
