ORMOC CITY – The DILG Region 08 through Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V, spearheaded the “Psychological First Aid for Responders in the Management of the Dead and Missing Persons (MDM) Operations Re Tropical Storm Agaton” on June 21-22, 2022, which aims to provide the needed support recovery of the responders from the Local Government of Abuyog Leyte and Baybay City with their local uniformed personnel from the PNP and BFP through group support and further counselling and treatment services.
The activity was facilitated by the University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC) Assistant Professors headed by Ruth Edisel Rylle Cercado, Rowena Guiang, Pierce Docena, Ervina Espina, with Instructors Cristy Pestilos, Kimberly Mae Tañola, and Guidance Services Specialist Rhea Lina Saavedra.
The two-day activity was conducted in Sabin Resort, Ormoc City. This initiative was organized by the DILG RO8-LGMED with 100 participants. The DILG RO8 was represented by ARD Atty. Darwin N. Bibar and LGMED personnel.
