On May 16, 2022 in Ormoc City, the Training Management and the Topnotchers of the 53rd Apprenticeship Program conducted an assessment on the training that Local Government Operations Officers (LGOO) underwent last year. Inputs from the assessment will be utilized in future apprenticeship programs.

The said program is the Department’s way of preparing the LGOOs for their pivotal roles in the community, fostering continuous learning and capacity/skills building. This aims to equip LGOOs with the necessary core, functional, and leadership competencies to help them become responsive to the demands of good governance.

LGOOs are the link of the Department to the LGUs. They serve as the local governance assessor, integrator, networker, and knowledge manager. They play a key role in the development of our LGUs.
