The ‘Duterte Legacy Caravan Thru Convergence of All Government Agencies’ spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) was held in Baybay City, Leyte on April 26, 2022.
The theme for the caravan, ‘Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan Tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,’ highlights the aim to inform the public on the government’s landmark programs geared towards real change and delivery of basic services. This caravan was in compliance with Executive Order (EO) No. 137 that institutionalized the ‘Aid and Humanitarian Operations Nationwide Convergence Program’ to enhance agency coordination and collaboration in the distribution of assistance to the Filipino people.
The caravan in Region 8 is unique from the rest of the country, as it brings goods and services to the Typhoon Agaton affected communities of Baybay City and Abuyog, in Leyte.
The DILG was represented by Assistant Regional Director Atty. Darwin Bibar, together with other DILG officials and personnel.
