GAWAD PAMANA NG LAHI


The Gawad is given to a province, city or municipality for exemplary performance in administrative, social, economic and environmental governance.  The yearly award seeks to promote accountability, transparency and involvement to local administration and development.

 

Exemplary performance information is drawn from the database of the on-line Local Governance Performance Management System, Seal of Good Housekeeping, International Organization or National Government Agency-bestowed Awards, and acknowledged innovations.

In Eastern Visayas, the LGUs which topped the 2011 Gawad in their respective categories were:

 s Leyte
Gov. Jericho Petilla receives the Gawad Pamana nga Lahi award for Leyte Province


 s Ormoc City
Ormoc City Mayor Eric Codilla receives his award from DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo.

 

s Naval Biliran
Mayor Susan Parilla of Naval, Biliran is awarded the Gawad Pamana for municipalities.
